During a worldwide recession in 1954, Hubert Wulf and his wife, Marianne, established ADO Gardinenwerke in the small, northern rural town of Aschendorf, Germany. ADO Gardinenwerke succeeded in part due to the Wulfs’ unparalleled vision and innovative ideas; however, the most important factor was ADO’s technical superiority and faithfulness to maintain high quality manufacturing of 118 inch seamless drapery fabrics and accessories.

Upon the success of ADO Gardinenwerke, Mr. Wulf envisioned an expansion across the Atlantic Ocean. Rather than merely importing the finest seamless fabrics to the United States, he dedicated himself to importing the technology and knowledge of manufacturing the best seamless fabrics and draperies. Thus, ADO Corporation was born.

Caesar's glory was made as tribute to one of histories most famous personalities. Caesar, known for his conquests as well as his excesses was chosen because there is only one person that could live up to the example of ADO's most exclusive fabric in the world.
The design for the fabric was based upon coins used during Caesar's time with his likeness stamped on them. The outside of the design is based upon the famous roman laurel wreath, which could only be earned by furthering the glory of Rome.
The interior of the design is made in the likeness of Caesar's profile. The design itself is 27.5 inches in diameter with 4200 crystals backed with gold leaf applied to fine French Leavers lace and then attached to the sheer drapery fabric. The fabric is some of ADO's most special fabric to date, and the absolute focus of the design is on the circle of precious stones between the words PONT and MAX.
